Sanitation

Keep your makeup applications G-rated.

🖐🏽

Clean Hands

Always start with clean hands before touching anyone’s face, including your own! Bacteria starts with you, start fresh with every application!

🤭

Clean Face

Have your client come with a clean fresh face or have makeup remover wipes on hand! You can also prep their face with Seint toner and stay spray.

Clean Brushes

You will need to start with a clean fresh brush for every face you’re working with! For personal brushes, remember to wash each one weekly. Seint’s Brush Cleaner is the easiest and quickest way to keep your brushes clean, conditioned, and prolong the life of your brushes.

🖌

Spray directly onto the brush and rub soft circular motions onto a paper towel until the brush no longer has makeup on it. Make sure the brush is fully dry by rubbing in circular motions and you’re good to go right away!

💦

All brushes are held together with glue, taking care the moisture doesn’t get to far into the bristles is essential for not breaking down the glue. If not using the Brush Cleaner, you can use baby soap and water. Gently wash the ends of the brushes, reshape, and leave out to dry overnight.

Clean Makeup

Again you’ll need to start with a clean makeup for every face you’re working with! We don’t want to be spreading bacteria from face to face and the makeup is an easy way to spread unwanted germs, cause breakouts, and general irritation.

💄

Using tools to remove small amounts of makeup from their tins is the easiest and safest way to keep your makeup free from bacteria. I recommend using a q-tip for color matching, and using a spatula and palette for application.

🎨

You can also use alcohol wipes to wipe down each tin before each client. Take a wipe and gently wipe over the surface of each tin. This method tends to use up a lot of makeup, so I would recommend only doing this when necessary.

💧

Perfector

Wash your perfector before every use. Since the perfector is used damp anyways, it’s easiest to clean it right before application! Run your perfector under hot water and apply dawn soap, wash thoroughly, squeeze out excess water, and it’s ready to roll!

👁

Mascara

For mascara, you can have the client bring their own or use a disposable mascara wand. For the disposable wand saturate the wand with the original mascara’s wand and hand to the client for application. (Many people feel uncomfortable with someone that close to their face, you can ask them if they would like you to apply it!)

eyeshadow

Cleaning your eyeshadow brush is easy! For easy switching between colors, use the Brush Cleaning Tile and gently rub in circular motions.
